PUPPY SCHOOL
Ivanka’s Puppy School is all about raising happy, confident and social family pet dogs. Puppy Training with positive reinforcement and healthy boundaries, you and your puppy will learn that training is fun and listening to you is pleasant and rewarding. Ivanka’s Puppy School is designed for your puppy to safely socialise with other pups and people in a controlled envrionment and help guide you to prevent any behaviour problems developing in the future.
Using positive reinforcement methods, you will learn the following and much more in the 4 week program
- How to socialise your puppy correctly, so they have good positive experiences with a variety of people, other dogs, cats etc and anything environmental like fireworks, vacuum cleaners, bikes, cars etc
- How to toilet train your puppy and manage the puppy nipping and biting
- How to build your puppy’s confidence and independence to be on their own. When commenced in puppyhood it will ultimately develop a dog that is confident and prevent issues like, digging, destructive chewing, barking and separation anxiety
- How to teach your puppy basic obedience behaviours, like Sit, Drop, Stay, Come, Give, Leave it
- How to build confidence for anxious pups
- Trouble shooting tips for hyper excitement, over aroused, frustrated behaviours like jumping up and mouthing
- How to prevent resource (food & toy) guarding
- How to get your puppy to enjoy walking on a loose lead and prevent leash reactivity
- How to prepare your puppy to be comfortable being handled for their Vet and Grooming visits
- Crate Training or using a temporary confinement space like a play pen area
- Ditch the food bowl – Pour value into Mental Enrichment activit

Welcome to Ivanka’s Puppy School, located in the Hills District.
Congratulations on your new four-legged family member. Welcome to the wonderful world of dog ownership. You can look forward to hours of joy and laughter at puppy antics along with the frustration of toilet training accidents and puppy nipping and biting with those nasty needle-sharp baby teeth. They like to bark, play, zoom through the house (sometimes with wet muddy paws), jump on people, steal and chew on things, explore, sniff and loads of other cool stuff. They are baby dogs. You now have a puppy that needs training. Fortunately we can train our pups to show more appropriate behaviours. What happens now is up to you.
You only get one chance to train and socialise your puppy correctly. Don’t take any chances, book your puppy with Ivanka, a qualified and experienced professional dog trainer, who uses modern day training methods to ensure the BEST possible start for your treasured pet puppy. Your puppy needs to be between 8-18weeks to join a group class at Ivanka’s Puppy School.
Terms & Conditions
By making a booking and paying for Ivanka’s Puppy School, you acknowledge and accept that any classes you miss or skip are non-refundable, a make up class may be offered if there is availability but there is no guarantee.
Some group puppy classes take place in an outdoor, uncovered environment. In the event of rain or extreme heat, the class may be moved to an indoor venue (if available) or postponed to the following week.
Ivanka’s Puppy School is designed to set the puppies up for success for learning so depending on the location, I recommend either 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children to attend puppy school.
Ivanka’s Puppy School
Cost $200.00, 4 week course. Approx 1hr each session (only for pups between 8-18weeks).
Group classes will vary in size between 4 -8 pups depending on location.
(A Non refundable $50.00 deposit will be required when booking a spot in puppy school)

In -Home Puppy Training Package 1
Cost $360 (includes 3 x 1hr in home training sessions)
Puppy School is not always suitable for every puppy or convenient for the family to attend, or perhaps you missed puppy school and your puppy is over 18weeks. I come and train your puppy in the comfort and convenience of your own home. The entire family can participate and much more time and attention is spent on your puppy and meeting your needs and addressing your particular concerns. Optional (only if your puppy is under 18weeks, join 1 group puppy class for an extra $45)
